JAKE O'DONNELL

As Covid regulations continue to hinder small business in New York City, one Long Island entrepreneur has found creative ways to thrive during a global pandemic. For a brand that prides themselves on the motto “Never Fit In, Always Stand Out” The Dripkit founder, Erik Lerner, has managed to do just that. Despite restrictive government policy in Manhattan, The Dripkit has worked closely with other local brands to host a Covid-friendly pop-up shop this Friday, December 18th.

The pop-up shop will take over the sidewalks of the Upper East Side and showcase a variety of fall and winter pieces, all while accompanied by sounds from none other than Drizzy Drake. Despite the challenges all of us have faced in 2020, Lerner has used this time to perfect his craft, and grow his expanding fashion line that has stretched from NYC, to Tampa, and as far west as Los Angeles.

On display will be some of The Dripkit’s most uniquely designed pieces, including his NYC inspired arch style sweatshirt, the Dripkit heartbreak hoodie, as well as my favorite piece the two tone denim jacket which has proven to be the epitome of “always standing out”.

For those of us who can handle the snow, stop by 516 E 11th Street NY, NY tomorrow from 12-7pm and support local business, and one of my favorite upcoming brands.
